Answers to all your concerns

Our staff will always be happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you have. You should always feel free to contact us. For starters, here are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you better plan how to cash in your diamonds.

How and why should I trust you or your company with my diamond?

For over 30 years, Stafford’s Jewelers has been a family-owed and operated business led by traditional values of honesty, trust, and personal integrity. CashInYourDiamonds.com extends the values embraced by Stafford’s into the buying of diamonds online. We are a certified member of the Dayton Better Business Bureau, Rapport, Polygon, Coinnet, Independent Jewelers Organization, and the JVC. There is no sale that is more valuable than our outstanding reputation, which we have earned through years of delivering exceptional service to our customers.

What types of diamonds do you buy?

We buy all types of certified diamonds (GIA, EGL, AGS, IGI, HRD) and heirloom jewelry, including engagement rings. We also buy high value diamonds and jewelry from sellers who do not have certification. We can work with a basic appraisal or even just a piece of jewelry itself. The bottom line is that if you considering selling diamond jewelry, you should contact us. We offer maximum cash for diamonds and we believe in trust, service, and doing what it takes to make the customer happy. Contact us to discuss your particular piece.

What is a certified diamond?

Diamonds may be issued a detailed certification report by an accredited independent gemological laboratory such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), American Gem Society (AGS), European Gemological Laboratory (EGL), or International Gemological Institute (IGI). These recognized laboratories provide certified diamond quality reports to the jewelry and diamond industry. Unlike diamond appraisals, which do not require any type of education or accrediting, diamond certification laboratories must adhere to strict grading and reporting requirements issued by each agency.

Do you only buy certified diamonds?

We buy both certified and uncertified diamonds. If you do not have the paperwork or diamond certification, we can still get you cash for your diamond. However, to ensure that we give you the best diamond purchasing experience and maximum value for your piece, we must personally view the diamond to complete an appraisal.

How does the diamond buying process work at Cash In Your Diamonds?

We are interested in making the process as simple as possible for you. First we take the time to talk to you and learn about you. Once all of your questions are answered, please fill out the online form and fax or email us the paperwork that came with your diamond. You’ll receive our offer within 24 hours. Send in your diamonds using the packaging that we will provide. All shipping is paid by us. Then, review our appraisal and once satisfied, approve it to receive our offer via secure wire transfer or company check.

I prefer a more personalized diamond purchasing experience. Can I fly out to your store to meet you?

Yes! If you would like to cash in your high value diamond but are uncomfortable with shipping it to our offices, we would be pleased to fly you out to our office here in Dayton. Our 7,000-square-foot state-of-the-art retail location offers a complimentary food and beverage bar and is designed to make each of our guests feel at home. We will arrange for transportation to and from the airport, and lunch or dinner is on us! Please contact us to make an appointment.

Will you really fly me to Dayton, pick me up at the airport, and escort me to your store for a personal jewelry evaluation?

Yes! If you have a high value diamond you would like to personally present to our diamond buying staff, we will reimburse you for your airline tickets to Dayton, pick you up at the airport, and complete your personal diamond evaluation and offer. Really!

Will your diamond specialists fly out to see me for a diamond appraisal and offer?

Because we are a family business, it is logistically very difficult for us to constantly travel around the world to appraise and purchase diamonds. Therefore, most transactions take place at our headquarters in Dayton, Ohio. Depending on the size of the transaction we can either conduct business using FedEx and the telephone or by flying you to Dayton to work with you in person. Either way, you will receive immediate payment for your jewelry upon your approval of our offer. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

Why should I travel to Dayton to sell my diamonds instead of selling them online?

Personal relationships with buyers you can trust is key to ensuring that you get the maximum value for your diamond. At Cash In Your Diamonds, we are a family-owned company with over 30 years of experience in jewelry buying and selling. Our traditional values of honesty, trust, and personal integrity guide each of our transactions. We prefer to conduct all of our transactions face-to-face to ensure that you get the best possible price when you cash in your diamond or jewelry.

How do I get paid?

If our offer to purchase your diamond is accepted, you can choose to receive your payment by either a bank wire transfer or a company check that will be sent overnight to you. If you are local to our area or have traveled to Dayton to conduct your transaction, you may have your cashier’s check in as little as 15 minutes.
